No fewer than 800 residents of Emure-Ekiti benefited from the latest empowerment initiative organized by the Oluseun Adeboyejo Foundation, aimed at supporting the policies and vision of Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.

The event, held on Friday, was the latest in a series of interventions by the foundation, which continues to assist diverse groups in the community, including youths, students, market women, artisans, okada riders, and farmers.

Beneficiaries received various items such as cash gifts, scholarships, motorcycle helmets, reflective jackets, clippers, barbing aprons, farming tools, and other business essentials.

In his remarks, the Minister of Youth, Olawande Wisdom, urged beneficiaries to utilize the support they received to build self-reliance and economic stability.

Represented by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, the Minister commended the foundation’s efforts in complementing the state government’s initiatives.

He also reaffirmed Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to reducing unemployment and called on citizens to rally behind the Governor’s re-election bid.

Olawande encouraged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the philanthropic gestures of the Oluseun Adeboyejo Foundation in uplifting their communities.

While distributing the empowerment materials, the convener of the foundation, Mr. Oluseun Adeboyejo, emphasized that the initiative was born out of a desire to reduce hardship and support the developmental strides of Governor Oyebanji’s administration.

He noted that while the government continues to work hard, it cannot meet all societal needs alone, stressing the importance of citizens’ contributions.

“The administration of Governor Oyebanji has done so much for the people, but it is important that we, too, play our part. Supporting farmers, market women, and youths in tertiary institutions will greatly help to ease hardship and foster societal growth,” Adeboyejo stated.

Also speaking, Mrs. Evelyn Adeboyejo echoed her husband’s sentiments, highlighting that the empowerment initiative would help tackle unemployment and curb crimes often associated with joblessness.

The event attracted several notable personalities, including the representative of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Hon. Segun Dipe, the APC Public Relations Officer, all APC ward leaders in the community, traditional chiefs, market leaders, youth groups, and student leaders.
