 The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has acknowledged the positive impact of ACReSAL projects on development across the state.

This recognition came from Mr Mohammed Omadefu, Chairman of the House Committee on Environment, during a budget performance review held in Lafia on Wednesday. The management of the ACReSAL project had appeared before the committee to present their first-quarter performance for the 2025 fiscal year.

Omadefu praised both the State Government and the World Bank for initiating and rolling out various ACReSAL projects, noting that these initiatives are making meaningful contributions to the well-being of residents.

“We invited you here to evaluate how your 2025 budget has fared in the first quarter,” Omadefu said. “I must commend your efforts in carrying out projects that have a tangible impact on the lives of our citizens across the state.”

He encouraged the project’s leadership to continue focusing on initiatives that are responsive to the needs of the people, in order to further elevate living standards in Nasarawa.

The committee chairman reaffirmed the Assembly’s ongoing dedication to supporting the ACReSAL team in achieving its objectives.

In response, Mr Napoleon Elias, the Project Coordinator for ACReSAL, explained that the project is designed to tackle climate change and provide targeted support to communities in need, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life.

He expressed gratitude to the committee for its backing and recognised Governor Abdullahi Sule for his sustained interest and commitment to the project’s success.

Elias noted that the ACReSAL initiative has already delivered solar-powered boreholes, solar street lights, and farming equipment such as tractors, among other benefits, to communities throughout the state.

He pledged to continue launching additional projects aimed at accelerating development across Nasarawa.
